These Terms govern use of PrepLuma, provided by [PUBLISHER LEGAL NAME, e.g. an LLC name or the owner's full legal name if operating as a sole proprietor]. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 and legally able to agree to these Terms. If you are a minor where you live, a parent or legal guardian must consent. You are responsible for accurate account information, a secure password, and activity under your account.

Independent study product

PrepLuma is an independent exam preparation product. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the California Department of Insurance, PSI, Apple, Google, or any government agency or testing provider.

PrepLuma does not provide legal, insurance, tax, financial, employment, or licensing advice. Practice performance and mock scores do not guarantee an exam result, license approval, employment, or any other outcome. You are responsible for confirming current licensing and exam requirements through official sources.

License to use the service

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use PrepLuma for individual study. You may not copy, scrape, publish, resell, reverse engineer, interfere with, or use the service or question bank to create a competing dataset or product except where law does not permit the restriction.

Content changes

Exam outlines, laws, regulations, and official guidance can change. We may correct, replace, add, or remove study content and features. Report suspected errors through the in-app content review path.

Free preview and paid access

An account includes a permanent free preview of the first three canonical California Life lessons, with complete lesson content and full practice. No payment method is required for the preview. Available paid products, price, billing period, and renewal terms are shown before purchase.

Native digital access is sold through Apple In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing. A recurring subscription renews until canceled through the store account that made the purchase. Canceling stops future renewal but generally does not end access already paid for. Paid-once access is non-recurring and provides access while the applicable product and service remain available, subject to these Terms.

Refunds for native purchases are handled under Apple or Google's applicable rules. Website purchases, if offered, are governed by the checkout terms shown at purchase and the website cancellation and refund policy below.

You can restore eligible native purchases and open subscription management from the Membership screen.

Website cancellation and refunds

Monthly cancellation: Cancel any time from the account page or the Stripe billing portal. Access continues to the end of the paid period. No partial-month refund.

Monthly refunds: No refunds. Cancellation stops the next charge, and access continues to the end of the paid period.

Paid-once refunds: No refunds. Web purchases are final once access is granted.

Paid-once updates: Paid-once access includes content updates to the California Life course for as long as PrepLuma offers it. It does not include other exams.

Acceptable use

You may not:

• share an account or access credentials outside your household
• bypass access controls or paid-access boundaries
• submit malicious code, automated traffic, or abusive requests
• harass support personnel or submit unlawful content
• infringe intellectual property or privacy rights
• use the service in violation of law

Account suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time and can delete your account on the website or in the app. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, fraud, security risk, nonpayment, or legal requirements. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.

Intellectual property

PrepLuma, its software, original study materials, design, trademarks, and related rights belong to [PUBLISHER LEGAL NAME, e.g. an LLC name or the owner's full legal name if operating as a sole proprietor] or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so these limits may not fully apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, [PUBLISHER LEGAL NAME, e.g. an LLC name or the owner's full legal name if operating as a sole proprietor] and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or lost opportunities arising from the service. Our total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Applicable law may provide additional rights.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify [PUBLISHER LEGAL NAME, e.g. an LLC name or the owner's full legal name if operating as a sole proprietor] against claims arising from your unlawful use of the service or material breach of these Terms.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, contact support@prepluma.com and allow 30 days for an informal resolution.

Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version, change the effective date, and provide additional notice when required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms where permitted by law.
